And they're off!

What a crazy start to the Season! Wasting no time, Aaron played some nice hands and hit some lucky ass draws to vault right to the top. I was a victim of one each of his nice hands and lucky ass draws, but managed to somehow make enough to come in second even after buying in three times. Most of the others came out slightly ahead or down... with the exception of Eric who funded the majority of other people's chipstacks. It seems KJ (and loose play) was his downfall. Check out the stats page for the final chip count.

In other news, I'm going to be starting a tournament league running in parallel to the regular league. The format will be announced soon, but right now the games are slated to begin May 6th and be held at 5pm every Saturday, just before the cash game which starts at 8pm. Stay tuned for more!

Season 3.... Now with 100% More Blogging!

I've moved over to blogspot for the poker updates so you schmucks can comment on my witty banter and embarass yourselves with misguided justifications for your latest suckout against me.

The stats page (the only page you guys really care about), the rules page and the joining page are still hosted on Austin RR and still look like crap. w00t! Wait, that sucks. Oh, well. You guys will probably only visit this page and the stats pages anyway.

Speaking of stats, I solemly swear to update them at my leisure for all of Season 3. If you hadn't noticed, I tend to take longer to update the stats when people beat my KK with Q8o. So if my pot-sized bets don't keep you from calling me with crap, maybe the threat of not having updated stats will do the trick... but probably not. Jerkstores.

Just kidding. I love you all. And by love, I mean hate.

OK, so seriously. The new Season starts tomorrow! FYI, out of respect for Eric and Val, two of the league's most dedicated players, the season is going to be a bit shorter this time around since I'd like it to end before they leave us for Virginia in early July. :( So Season 3 is going to be just about 10 weeks long. I think we'll survive. And Eric and Val deserve it with their continued dedication to the game and the league (and to beer... and to lucky ass draws... wait... who said that?)
